My Blog

A Time for This…

I have not forgotten about Yemeni Journey…in fact I have been thinking about it a lot, as I start down the path of making it into an actual book, insh’Allaah. Mash’Allaah, though, there have been many distractions this month keeping me away from writing as I would like.

Alhamdulillah, Allaah has made it possible for us to have completed and published the newest addition to our book store, Statements of the Guiding Scholars of our Age Regarding Books and their Advice to the Beginner Seeker of Knowledge, compiled by Abu Sukhailah with an introduction by Sheikh Muhammad al-Imaam, may Allaah preserve him. This book has been years in the making, and we have all been busy in the last two months editing and formatting it. It is also our first Kindle offering, alhamdulillah.

I am also doing the final edit for my next book, “Fasting from Alif to Yaa” which should be out soon as well, insh’Allaah, in time for Ramadhaan.

My daughter, Umm Usaamah, is currently helping us get set up to offer classes in Islamic beliefs as well as Arabic through Wiz IQ. That is an ongoing project, mash’Allaah. We are also preparing to offer lectures through Skype for those of you who may be interested, insh’Allaah. Please contact us if this is something you would like to explore.

Homeschooling, working, studying, teaching, writing, reading, all in the context of worshiping Allaah…alhamdulillah, truly this shows the importance of taking the advice of the Prophet, may Allaah’s praise and salutations be upon him, that there is a time for this, and a time for that.

If you have the time to see what’s been going on in our garden this month, take a minute and check out the latest posting at Wide Earth.

And please, be patient, insh’Allaah, and keep checking back for new posts here, at Yemeni Journey.

May Allah reward you and your husband for all the work that you do in teaching others about Islam. I’m interested in knowing more about the classes that you will be holding on SKYPE if Allah wills. Jazakillahul khair

My first Skype adventure will be with a sister’s group in Britain, insh’Allaah. If you are interested in setting something up, you can contact me and I’ll see what I can do for you, insh’Allaah.

Alhamdulillaah, what exciting news! I cannot wait to get the next book InshaaAllaah and I would love to join the classes and lectures. I definitely know what you mean concerning the hadith ” a time for this and a time for that” SubhaanAllah, life is going by so quickly and it seems like you only have enough time for the necessities… By the way there were quite a few posts that I wanted to respond to but …QadrAllah wa maashaa fa’al I didn’t have the time (smile). Again, I want to mention that your family is in my du’a. And perhaps one day we will meet Inshaa’Allaah…
Your sister,
Umm Abdillaah

BarakAllaahufeekee, Umm Abdillaah, for your kind words and your du’a- we need all that we can get, alhamdulillah! And you are in mine, as well. Insh’Allaah someday we will meet, if not in this life, then the next- may Allaah keep us steadfast as we seek to gain His pleasure and admittance into Paradise, Ameen.
